I love it, but not pronounced like that. I like it the French way gees-LEN (that's as close as I can get). It reminds me of the only person with that name I know. A very pretty, black-haired, slightly bitchy girl.

I like this name as well, but it's really nms. I also know someone with this name, and she is also French-Canadian, her name is Ghysaline, not Ghislaine (she pronounces it different too, almost like gees-selene)

Well, in French I thought a g was zh sound, isn't it?

But not paired with an H. To get the ZH sound, it would have to be Gislaine. That's my understanding of it, anyway. And the Ghislaine I know pronounces it with a hard G and she is French.
