Beatrix, our runner-up name for our baby if it's a girl .

I like Beatrix.

I love both, but I prefer Beatrix because it is the original form and I think it has more spunk. Maybe it's the X.

Beatrix: it sounds so much spunkier and alive than stiff old Beatrice... plus you get Beatrix Potter who is lovely!

I currently prefer Beatrice to Beatrix; however, I love both names.

I love both, but prefer Beatrix.I like the sound and look of it better, but even more than that, I love the overall feel/vibe of it. Beatrix has so much charm and appeal to it.

I love both Beatrice and Beatrix, and they swap places of preference depending on my mood. Beatrix is a plucky, gutsy, woman-of-action name, but today my heart belongs to Beatrice. Beatrice can sound medieval, Victorian, or thoroughly modern. It has wonderful literary associations. It's smart, strong, and manages to be sweet but still a little sharp-edged. I really love it. The one thing I don't like is the nn Bea. I much prefer Beah (rhymes with Mia.)

I have the same dilema!Beatrice feels more classic but Beatrix has a quirky vintage feel to it.I think I would use Beatrice if using for a first name and Beatrix for a middle.

BeatrixBeatrice seems rather dowdy and uptight, whereas Beatrix has some youth and spirit.

I like Beatrice. I don't really know why, Beatrix just seems a bit odd to me.Bea is a super cute name by the way!

I prefer Beatrice. It's softer and sweeter. Beatrix seems more edgy, which I'm generally not into. Although I do like Beatrix Potter, and she's not edgy at all. Hmm.

I'm not really a fan of either but I like Beatrix more. I feel that it has more spunk.
