I'm starting to like it. It's a bit different but not too different. The origin puts be of a bit - I'm not keen on place names - but apart from that I've got nothing against it. What do you think of it? Can you think of any combos?

I just can't see it on a real person. The only time I've "seen" it used as a name is for that centaur in Harry Potter... it's a bit too "out there" as a real name, IMO. Plus, I dislike the popularity of place names--to me, it feels as trendy as London or Paris would.

I find it odd. It reminds me of the centaur in Harry Potter, but I can't imagine it on a person. It's not used as a name in Italy.
