Bettina
I discovered this on an episode of the Twillight Zone. Most of the time the girl was called Tina. I thought interesting, becuase I always thought Tina was started out as a given name, but may have started out as a nickname for Bettina. Then I did more research and learned that Bettina was the German form of Elizabeth. WDYT?

I went to High School with a girl named Bettina. I think that it's adorable, and it's actually on my 'usable' list.

It sounds comical and gimicky to me.

It's also an Italian nn for Elisabetta. I know it's used as a full name, but it sounds nicknamey to me.

I think it's too precious and cutesy. I've heard of it as a nickname for Elizabeth. I'd hate to see it used on its own, at least in English speaking countries.

Chances are Bettina is a nick name for the German form of Elizabeth. I can only think of this as the last name (used almost like a first name) of an obnoxious male TV charactor. (BTW I have never heard as a first name, only as a nn for Christina/Christine)
