Tempest
Tempest is a name I've always loved, but it gets alot of negative comments. I like the meaning, but other people don't seem to. Is the meaning negative, in your opinion? I also like the play, which I think is a good association. WDYT of Tempest?

I don't think Tempest has a negative meaning at all! I think of Shakespeare and of a stormy summer's night. Beautiful. It would make a great middle name for a girl. Maybe her brother could have Storm as his middle name?

I really like it :D I don't know if I would use it-- maybe as a middle name, but I like it.

I like it...a lot, actually. I can understand why it receives so much negativity; Tempest does sound rather dark and mysterious, since it's literally a storm. For ordinary people who prefer the typical Emmas, Olivias, etc, Tempest must seem a little bizarre. But I'm a little bizarre, so I like Tempest.

I really like sort of unconvential names and Tempest is really great! And the meaning just adds to how likable the name is!

I think the meaning is fabulous, and it's very cool. The problem might be that it sounds kinda similar to "temptress," but not enough to turn me off it. Tempest is a great name.

I'm not really a fan of the name, but the meaning is really cool. I don't get why it would be negative. For some reason, I associate Tempest with Tempest Bledsoe who played Vanessa on the Cosby Show rather than the play. Well I think the play too, but Bledsoe comes up first.
