I know a little Aura, she's like 6 or 7 years old. I think it's nice enough, but it gets confused with Laura a lot.
The Aura I know has got an older sister, Carina (she's my age, almost 17), and a little brother, Blai (1 or 2, not sure).

Aura is a pretty and mystical kind of name. It can lean toward the hippie side. I like Aurora better but Aura is a nice, sweet name.

Has a flaky, new-agey vibe, although the actual sound is pretty.

It's the sort of name my mum would love.. since she's a bit of a spiritually-obsessed-but-not-heaps person. She's fascinated by auras so if she knew of the name she wouldn't have named me Bethany and my name would be Aura Schoer. If it was Dad's decision then he would have named me Marine or Marina or something like that due to his unconditonal love of boats.

Love it! It sounds a bit like a nn though.

I use it as a nn for Aurora in one of my scripts. I like it there as it seems to be great for the meanings too.
It would also make a nice nn for Aurelia.

I like it. It sounds a little mysterious, and it's not as "r" laden as Aurora.
