Cash is nms but I can see it working as a nn for something like Cassius. Actually, I don't know what else it would be a diminutive of. ;-)

It's my friend's dog's name so I have trouble thinking of it in anything other than that capacity. I suppose it would be all right as a nickname or middle name, though.

No. It's just another word for money as far as I'm concerned. It seems very trendy and modern.

It just reminds me of Cash as in money, though not many people seem to be bothered by that.

I know a boy called Kashif who is ocassionally called Cash.

I tend to think of Cash Colligan, the bassist for the band The Cab.
But since he's a rather awesome guy, I've come to like the name.
