I've long fancied this spelling over Celine. I don't know why you'd think it was less substantial than Judith and Miriam - because it's not biblical?

KrisMichelle put it the best.Selene is more ethereal, while Miriam and Judith are more solid.I think it has more to do with associations. Selene brings to mind a princess, while Miriam and Judith bring to mind working women (literary associations.)
