I much prefer Emilia, it's a name I can see myself using. I don't like Amelia at all.

I pronounce Amelia uh-MEEL-ya and Emilia as eh-MEE-lee-uh. I prefer Emilia, not because of the pronunciation, but because I think of the birth defect when I hear Amelia.

I'm Danish and there's a difference in pronunciation of Amelia and Emilia, from how I do it in Danish and how I do it in English, for both names.

Tbh honest they sound alike in my accent(Irish). I like them both and I change my mind as to which I prefer. It's Amelia at the moment. I was also thinking of Amalia today and how much I like that.
