I like Lacey better than Lace, but Lacey does sound a bit masculine to me--in Cormac McCarthy's All the Pretty Horses, the sidekick character is a man named Lacey Rawlins.
I think that Lacey would sound nice with something semi-short and non-wordy. Like...Mara Lacey, Regina Lacey, Katherine Lacey...?
