First thing I thought of was Beautiful, but that's probably not what you were going for. ;)
I like Beau a lot for a boy. I agree with one of the other comments, that Beau ages well.
In one of my favorite films, Off the Map, the little girl's name is Bo, which I think is cute--sounds feminine and whimsical.
