It would have to rate as one of the ugliest sounding surnames around, I'm sorry and I cannot believe people use this on boys let alone females.
I think if Sloth from The Goonies had a twin sister, Sloane would do nicely.
The Sloane Ranger slur is another mark. Because of this I find this surname more faux pretentious than most.
