Annie.....WDYT?

I personally prefer it as a nn for Anneliese.
I love Annie as a name on its own or as a nn
It is cute on the right kid, but I don't like it on anyone above the age of about 7- so it needs a full name IMO.
My favourite full names for it are Annora and Anais. I also really love Annelie which is a form of my mn. Andromeda nn Anna is a GP of mine and that could work with Annie too (although I do appreciate the fact it is quite out there :-p)

Full name or nickname. Doesn't matter
I've seen plenty of elderly women with the full name Annie and it seems to have served them quite well. I have the same opinion of long held nicknames as first names like Molly, Penny and Sally.
I like Anne, Anna, Annabel but I like Annie equally well. If anything, I find it more unexpected in this day and age. I know in some places nicknames Katie, Evie etc have taken off but I still never see Annie used.

I've grown to like Annie quite a bit, but only as a nickname.
My favorite full names for it are Anne, Annemarie, Annemieke, and Susanna/Susannah.

I agree!
I love it, but it probably would do best as a nickname. I love Annabelle/Anabel/whatever and AnnaMaria. Susanna would be pretty too :D
I'm not fond of it. I just don't like the way it sounds, I guess. I'm not fond of Ann or Anne either, to me they're just so plain and boring.
I'd use it as a nickname for Anne, if I had to use it. It could also be a nn for Annabel or Anastasia or Annette, I suppose.
My mother-in-law is originally from Belgium and her name is Anny. She says that in Belgium Anny is pronounced so that the first syllable rhymes with John, but here in the U.S. people pronounce it the way they do Annie and she hates it. Just a sidenote.

I love Anna. It seems like the ultimate classic and feminine (yet not over-frilly) name. For some reason Ann/Anne has a different, more boring vibe to me.
Annika is probably my favorite derivative, then Annabel or Annabelle.
I would use any of those with Annie as a nickname. I'm not too keen of Annie as a full name.
