Loren and Lauren
Does one give you a different picture/feeling than the other one? Do you prefer one over the other? Or do you pretty much consider them the same?

To me Loren is the male spelling and Lauren is the female spelling. So yes, they give me very different pictures. I really really like Loren on a boy.

To me, Loren is a masculine name, and Lauren a feminine name. I also pronounce them slightly different. I prefer Lauren.

Lauren - I agree, this makes me think of a shy, slightly homely girl
Loren - I think of male or female; for male I think of an older gentleman; on a girl I think of a sophisticated young woman

I consider Loren to be masculine and Lauren to be feminine. The only Lorens I've met were male (I've known two).Lauren is very soft and sweet to me. I rather like it. I know a cute little girl with this name.Loren makes me think of a preppy guy, though the one my age I knew who acted like he was from the ghetto. The other was my soccer coach for a few years.

Kind of. I don't like the name much though. Loren feels more confident and intresting than Lauren which I think is rather dull and shy.

another thoughtLoren is slightly more masculine but I picture a girl and sometimes a man. Lauren makes me think of a very lost and shy young girl. I think of the name Laura whenever I hear it. Laura makes me think of the same picture only she isn't quite as shy and sad.

I prefer Lauren and to me it is strictly feminine. I feel Loren could be used on a male but I'm not into it.

I don't at all consider them the same name. Loren is masculine and Lauren is feminine. When I see Loren, I picture a man. When I see Lauren, I picture a woman.I can't say I prefer one over the other because I don't consider them different spellings of the same name, but rather different names. I don't like either one of them enough to use.
