Dislike

It's not a name I like. If you were going for the sound, Shelley is better, but even then....

I like Shelby but unfortunantley cant use it as my name is Michelle and everyone calls me Shell, so a little too close. I prefer Shelby Marie.

I actually quite like it, it's rather pretty (in my opinion).
Not a fan of Shelby Lynn or Shelby Marie though.

I don't like it at all, esp. for girls. The shel- sound is really unattractive, and Lynn and Marie are incredibly fillerish.

I have a friend named Shelby Marie! But I don't really like it... for a girl or boy. I think it sounds quite childish, like Chelsea, Zoe and Chloe, and both Shelby Lynn and Shelby Marie are not really my cup of tea.

Not a real fan of it. And it seems more masculine to me, but that's probably because the first Shelby I knew was a guy. The sound of it is turning me against it, sorry. Plus the few girl Shelby's that I knew (minus a two-year-old) were stuck up, and everyone said that the guy Shelby and I had a thing for each other back in 5th grade when we were just friends. Ah, the joys of being a kid. haha
