Blueberry
A big GP of mine. Do you think it would work as a full name?At least you could call her Blue or Berry. What do you think of Blueberry? Oh and I would use it on a girl.

Not a real fan -definitely one that could end up being a guilty pleasure, though-, but it would be cute for a character. Nickname 'Blue'. Berry seems too masculine for a girl.

Nice with nickname Blue or Berry. :):)

If a name has to be followed by "At least you could call her..." then that is a general indicator that no, it does not work. Just Berry (and Cherry) is a GP of mine but that is with some emphasis on guilty. One of my "adopted" punctuation marks that I have listed in my profile on this site is Miinan, Anishinaabemowin for blueberry. I think something like that would have name potential--same meaning, but more subtle and could be namelike. Of course that completely defeats the purpose of having Blueberry itself as the name; I can imagine it's more the sound than the appeal of the berry that you like. :-P

Don't get me wrong, I love Blueberry in its full form. It's just that if it got too complicated for her or if she had problems with it she could go by Blue, which used to be quite trendy as a middle name and would probably be easier for her to live with. I would probably use it as a middle name, though.

Honestly, it sounds like a name Jamie Oliver would choose for his daughter. It would be something like Blueberry Precious Pinkie or something like that. It doesn't sound classy at all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH4lyJWa_84(^ work/parents/kids safe, and make sure you have the sound on)Blueberry is a cute nickname and a great prenatal baby name, but I wouldn't use it as a child's real name.

I really don't like it. It sounds way too ridiculous. I would just use Berry.

Okayyy.... two things.1.) What's GP? The words "Gal Pal" are what come to my mind.2.) Not too fond of it. I don't like the fruit either.

I think it's cute. Blue is a good nn.

I think it's cute and that Berry is an adorable nn. :D I think it would probably work better as a mn, but if I met someone whose parents had the guts to name them Blueberry I'd be pretty excited, lol!At one point a few years ago I really liked Strawberry for a girl, after the Beatles song. It's still on my GP list. :P

Very cute and whimsical. Not for serious consideration, though?I actually wouldn't mind meeting one. Blue's a cute nn. I could easily see it as a mn in a real combo, too.

I read somewhere that Mora is the Spanish for blueberry once. (I don't speak Spanish, so that could be entirely wrong.) The point is that the meaning "blueberry" alone was enough to draw me to the name. What a cute meaning. Now, whether or not I have the guts to like the name using the English word is another story. I know Blue is being used for girls now. On balance, it's just too "out-there" for me to use in English. Perhaps tucked away in the mn spot it couldn't do much harm, other than make me hungry for pancakes.

I think 'blueberry' is 'arándano azúl'.
I think 'mora' means 'mulberry' (and also delay or procrastination).
