I personally love the name but only for a girl (spelled Carrie). It's one of my faves at the moment, and I'm not fond of it on a boy. Although for a boy, I think of Cary Grant, so that's not so bad. I think Cary Walter makes a very nice combination, especially since Walter has meaning for you.
