Paulette and Paolina
Which is best as a middle name? Disclaimer: I generally dislike -ette and -ina names, but I find these 2 nice (though not enough to use them as fns). Plus they'd honor my father, and I really don't care for Paola and Paula.
Allegra Paolina or Allegra Paulette (Allegra being my current-meaning this week's-favourite female name).

Pauline and Paulina are on my "why aren't they more popular?" list, so these names are right up my alley.
Of your two names, they are both nice, although Paolina is more limiting. It needs just the right fn, more so than fungible Paulette. Happily, Allegra fits perfectly with Paolina's Italian flair. Allegra Paolina is a definite winner.

I much prefer Paolina, especially with Allegra.
Allegra Paolina is a very nice combo. I'm not a fan of -ette or -etta names and I don't like the look of the combo when Allegra is paired with Paulette. I don't really like the sound either. Allegra Paolina looks very sophisticated but it's still fun and spunky. Thumbs up for Allegra Paolina!
