I like the name Coraline. It feels like it should be a name with a long history of use, which is the hallmark, I guess, of a good invented name. Unfortunately, I do think instantly of the character. Since the book was just made into a movie, I think more people than ever will make the same association.
I didn't know until Googling the name who AnnaSophia Robb is, so I didn't think of her. =) I thought, well, that your friend's sister didn't know how to use a space bar. I'd love Anna Sophia, or even Anna-Sophia, but AnnaSophia just looks like a name smush.
