I like Kristina much better than Christina. Although they sound the same, the first seems much more crisp.

It really depends what the middle name is. Christina Susie is much to dated for me but Christina Rachel is very pretty and could be considered a "popular" name. I think Kristina alone is much more modern than Christina and I really like it, but again, if you put a certian middle name with it, it could fit right into the 1800s.
