Estella makes me think of the little ice queen from "Great Expectations." Not such a bad literary association, though. It's a great book, and Estella (in my opinion)was a great character. She may not have been lovable, but she WAS memorable.

I don't think Elsa and Estella are too close for sisters, since Estella would probably be shortened to Stella as a NN.

I think I prefer Estella over Kaia. Kaia is a simple Scandinavian name, and I love Scandinavian names, but Estella has more attitude.
