I really like Heloise. I think it has a fresh and more classic vibe than Eloise. Middle name suggestions are a bit more difficult though. Perhaps:Heloise Ruby
Heloise Ophelia
Heloise Beatrix
Heloise Fleur
Heloise Inez
Heloise Jemima
Heloise Lenore
Heloise Margot
Heloise Petronelle
Heloise Rosamund
Heloise Seraphine
Heloise Thomasina
Heloise Theodora
Heloise Vienne

Heloise doesn't sound that nice and just seems really pretentious to me.

I don't like it. I'm not very big on old-fashioned names, and I think Heloise fits that bill. Heloise Jane
Heloise June
Heloise Claire
Heloise Mary
Heloise Anne
Heloise Bethany
Heloise Katherine

I love Heloise, though I prefer Eloise.

I hate it. I also hate Eloise and Louise. The WEEZ sound really turns me off. But Heloise is worse than either Eloise and Louise because I also dislike names that begin with an H, with only a few exceptions.I really can't figure out why people like any of these names. HELL-O-WEEZ. What on earth is attractive about that? E-LO-WEEZ. Ditto. LOO-WEEZ. Again. WEEEZ. It's just awful. Also, Heloise just makes me think of "Hints from Heloise."

in Louise's defenceI prn. it Lou-EESE, there's no distinctive 'Weez' sound.

I've never heard an American say anything other than LO-WEEZ. Unless you're an American. Then you'd be the only one I know of. I know that there are other countries, other cultures, and other accents out there, but since I'm an American, live in America, and am surrounded by other Americans, that's all that I can judge by.

Amen to that.

I know a 30-something Heloise but much prefer Eloise. It looks softer and doesn't remind me of Hermione or Hortense!
Since it has a medieval vibe I think Matilda or Rosamond might be good mns.
