Karly
I named my daughter Karly 9 years ago. It started out as a name that was uncommon and it seems that in the last couple of years Ive been hearing her name more often...ex."icarly" tv show. To spell the name with a "K" is more unique. She is a bright, beautiful, and very outgoing girl... could her name play into this? It may help to name your child a name that will give them confidence and that they can be proud of and my daughter has both!!

Well my name is Carly, and let me start off by saying its not a bad name or anything i just hate it for me. I think that Carly isn't that popular/ Common(at least where i live), i only know a few others. And just becasue iCarly is Carly doesn't mean its popular, it means the writers of the show liked the name lol. As for the confidence and pride, I don't think its anything special that will give any extra pride and Confidence. IMO, its just a made up name from the 70's.
I had a friend with this name, but she's 20.
Umm...

Well, I wouldn't say spelling a name with a "K" instead of a "C" is very unique, it seems a lot of people do that.
I think it's certainly a good thing, and possibly confidence-building if a child likes his or her name, but I seriously doubt that a name is really going to play a significant part in building a child's personality, and I don't see how you can pick a name that's garanteed to "give them confidence".
