I like Harriet quite a bit, but prefer Harriet as a nickname for Henrietta, which I absolutely love. I like Hattie, Hettie, Etta & Ettie as nicknames too.

I adore Harriet!

This is one of those cases where I only like the name itself, but love a nickname for it...Harriet is great, but Harriet nn Hattie is all the better.

I really like it. It's got a nice old-fashioned charm, and it's very sweet.

Harriet is very dated in my opinion, but not to the extent that I think it's not usable. I just think there are many other, nicer names out there, although I wouldn't mind meeting a little Harriet. I like Hatty as a nickname.

I like it. A good friend of mine is called Harriet which makes me like the name a lot more than I otherwise might. It's not overly common but it's slightly old-fashioned and pretty.
