Wow! A celeb with good taste!
I just found out that Judd Apatow (writer of Freaks & Geeks, Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, etc) and his wife, Leslie Mann, have two daughters named Maude and Iris. Both are favorites of mine and I totally love them as a sibset! I've always been a huge fan of Apatow, but is it wrong that I like him even more now that I know we have the same taste in names? Hah...so, wdyto Maude and Iris?

I dislike like Maude. I just never liked the sound of it. I love Iris though.
I adore them
The girls themselves are also pretty darn cute (they were in "Knocked Up"). Iris is a personal fave. Maude has grown on me a lot. I used to only associate it with the Bea Arthur character, but I now (moreso) associate it with the character from the book/movie "Possession" (I think it might be Maud, though...I still prefer Maude).

Iris I like, Maude, no.
lovely names
I love both names, and the sibset is great!
Thank you!
Sometimes I feel like the only person on here who doesn't love just any old ancient name. Some are ugly. This is one of them.

Yes!
I think Maud(e) is horrible. It's ugly, clunky, downtrodden and...ew. Iris, however, is really lovely.

Maud sound like the German word for "murder" so I dislike it
I avoid that
by using the Hebrew pronunciation ee-REES. I think it's even lovelier than EYE-riss, although I do like that as well.

Me, me!
I agree with what you said. And there's nothing pleasant-sounding about it whatsoever. I like Iris, though.

I adore both names! Esp. Maud!
What wonderful sibset! I like him even better now, lol!

I love both names, individually and as sisters.
I LOVE FREAKS AND GEEKS!!!!
Punctuation pets volunteered.
We watched it in my Pre-AP English class in 10th grade whenever the teacher (age 28, if it explains anything) got bored. (This is the same man who ran out of time and so did the Julius Caesar Rap the day of finals.)
I hate the name Iris... Maude isn't a favorite either. But for a celeb with rapidly declining taste (from Freaks and Geeks to Knocked Up!), it's pretty good.

I like Iris; Maud is tough for me to appreciate.
Gorgeous sibset!!
What lovely names, esp. coming from a celeb! Finally one who doesn't see naming their kid as a publicity stunt.
Surprising for someone who makes such juvenile movies.
I can't stand Judd Apatow's stuff.
Neither name I particularly like, but they're super fantabulous compared to Blakesley.
