Cateline?
So I just posted about Caitlin but now I really like Cateline.Should I pronounce it KATE-line or kate-LEEN? KATE-leen?Is it too confusing or close to similar names to use? What do you think of it as a middle name?Augusta Cateline?
Lola Cateline?
Elsa Cateline?

I find Cateline undesirably reminiscent of Catiline, the Roman demagogue who strove unsuccessfully to establish himself as dictator.Pairing Augusta (Augustus) with Cateline (Catiline) creates quite the paradox!

dittofirst thing I thought of was the Catiline conspiracy.
Probably not going to be a factor for most, unless you happen to have taken a classics course, though.
I would definitely pronounce it as 3 syllables on first glance.

I agree with Rachel Shaina about it looking like it has three syllables (same with Catelyn...) But out of those I'd say kate-LEEN.

I want to say Cat-teh-line. I guess of yours, I'd say Kate-line, but it looks like it should be 3 syllables to me. I don't really like it in any spot.

That's how I pronounced it: Cat-teh-line
