I quite like it, but most people here associate it with the makeup brand. Most people here don't realize it is a form of Zipporah.
It reminds me of the cosmetics company. I don't think I could ever look at it as a name.
I have a character in my writings named Sephora (nicknamed Sephie). I love the look and sound of it but it's definitely more of a GP when it comes to using it (other than for a character name).
I kind of like the sound of it. I see below it's said that Sephora is an international make-up chain. I've never heard of it!
I have no idea what your talking about, (New Zealander)
I think Sephora sells great makeup!
And that's about it. If it was a real name before it became the name of a store, I never heard of it... but as an international and well-known makeup store, I think it's entirely unusable simply because that's all it's known for.
It's along the lines of naming a kid Walmart (which I've actually seen!).

Sephora is not along the lines of naming your child Walmart, because Walmart was never a name before it was a store. Maybe, it would be like naming your child Mariposa.
Its nice, but I wouldn't use it.
It looks nice on paper, too.
