HelpRe: What do you think about masculine nicknames on girls?

Years ago, there was a TV series called "Sisters" about sibs who all had masculine nns. I loved the concept.
Alexandra, nn Alex
Theodora, nn Teddy
Georgiana, nn Georgie
Francesca, nn Frankie
Charlotte, nn Charley
I could picture myself using some of those. ;-) I actually prefer Alex more for a girl than for a boy. For the most part, though, I'd be more inclined to use a feminine form of a masculine name than a masculine nn for a girl.
