Re: Jeanne

I find the name very, very lovely in French, but don't care for it in English at all. I would prefer Jean in English, but I don't like that one very much either. It makes me think "blue jeans" and "this is not a name" too much. I don't find it extremely terrible, though, and I could maybe get used to it. The thing is I associate the mere sound of the name(s) Jean(ne) (as they sound the same in English, right?) to a certain era of naming in say American history. The sound of the name is too dated for me to like it. Dated in a more negative way, probably. Anyway, I'll pick the combos from your list that I like provided that you pronounce Jeanne English. Oh, and as for Jeannie: One of the worst (nick) names I've ever come across. Not feminine in a good way, not pretty, not aesthetically appealing to me, in no way. Jenny as a nn is even nicer.
Here are the combos that I find work well. I've marked the mns I like/love with an asterisk:
Jeanne Adelaide - the names fit together very well, but the combo doesn't seem to provide lots of interesting 'sights', i.e. lots of different letters, which makes it a bit boring somehow...
Jeanne Agatha* - Agatha 'grounds' Jeanne, the combo is very interesting and appealing
Jeanne Aglaia
Jeanne Amabel* - I love Amabel, and the combo works beautifully
Jeanne Amélie* - nice French combo
Jeanne Apollonia*
Jeanne Araminta* - gorgeous one
Jeanne Augusta* - a tad dated on the whole, but pretty all the same
Jeanne Aurélie* - nice French combo
Jeanne Bertille* - again
Jeanne Blanchefleur* - both in French and English beautiful!
Jeanne Briseis*
Jeanne Bryony* - works well!
Jeanne Carlotta* - interesting!
Jeanne Claribel - works, but represents pretty much exactly the kind of name/ combo I dislike very much. I can only think of 'Dallas', God knows why.
Jeanne Clarissa* - same here!
Jeanne Clélys* - wonderful French combo!
Jeanne Clémence* - again: wonderful!
Jeanne Clotilda* - I find it gorgeous
Jeanne Cordelia* - and this one too!
Jeanne Dorothea - see Jeanne Claribel
Jeanne Dorothy - see Jeanne Claribel
Jeanne Eleanor* - nice combo. Eleanor seems to make Jeanne calmer in a way...
Jeanne Eleonora*
Jeanne Eleonore
Jeanne Elinor* - I usually prefer Elinor to Eleanor, but in this case, the Eleanor combo looks far more harmonic, somehow
Jeanne Ermengarde* - interesting one
Jeanne Gwendolen* - but I prefer Gwendolyn, btw
Jeanne Héloïse* - very pretty French combo
Jeanne Henrietta* - particularly charming
Jeanne Henriette* - A bit of a... difficult flow here, imo. But Henriette is lovely!
Jeanne Hesper* - Wonderful. Hester would be pretty too. And Vesper.
Jeanne Isadora - Reminds me of some Princess's name. I think it's a bit "too much", but it definitely works well.
Jeanne Lavender* - Lavender appeases Jeanne in a very nice way.
Jeanne Leocadia* - I love seeing Leocadia used, and the combo is pretty.
Jeanne Lilac - Exquisite and charming, although I generally dislike Lilac very much.
Jeanne Lilia - Sounds pretty, but looks like too many repititions.
Jeanne Lilibet - Not bad! Lilibet is interesting. I might prefer Lilibeth in English.
Jeanne Loredana - Very interesting! I can't say I love Loredana, but the combo is very beautiful.
Jeanne Lucasta
Jeanne Maëlys* - I love Maëlys so much, and the combo is so pretty in French!
Jeanne Mafalda* - Nice combo with nice contrasts!
Jeanne Margareta* - pretty and full of life
Jeanne Marguerite* - Very pretty and flowing French combo!
Jeanne Maribel - works well, but see Jeanne Claribel
Jeanne Marietta - a bit dull in a way, but works
Jeanne Mathilda* - see Mafalda
Jeanne Matilda* - See Mafalda. And I prefer Matilda to Mathilda.
Jeanne Melisande* - The combo is pretty enough in English, but I find it even more beautiful in French, with Melisande spelled Mélisande. Flows gorgeously.
Jeanne Millicent* - works well, and evokes 'ghosts' of the past. Very mythical somehow. I think I always think of Jeanne d'Arc, and Millicent sounds so like myths and legends too...
Jeanne Muriel* - Both in English and French very pretty!
Jeanne Octavia* - wonderful and interesting
Jeanne Odessa* - same here
Jeanne Olivia* - works, but not that interesting
Jeanne Peronel*
Jeanne Pierrette* - somehow very appealing in French (only, for me)
Jeanne Phyllida*
Jeanne Primrose* - Very gorgeous, and I can't even explain why. It doesn't seem that perfect at first sight, but it really strikes me.
Jeanne Rosabel
Jeanne Rosalie*
Jeanne Rosalind* - but sounds a bit dated on the whole
Jeanne Rosamond*
Jeanne Rosamund*
Jeanne Rosemary - see Rosalind
Jeanne Rosemonde - Is that a French combo? I've never seen Rosemonde before, but it seems to be French. The combo is not perfect, but worth a look anyway.
Jeanne Silvestra* - wow: interesting!
Jeanne Sophronia* - love this one
