Nayeli and Safiyyah are a couple of names that I have come across this week that are really growing on me. How do you feel about them?

I like Safiyyah [though I have been pronouncing it Sa-FIE-uh, not Sa-FEE-uh]. I don't care much for Nayeli.

I don't care for Safiyyah, though I know it has it's fanbase. To me, even though I know it's a actual name, I think most people in the real world will think it's a tryndee spelling of Sophia.I love Nayeli. Some more names like these:
Ceridwen "blessed poetry"
Anwen "very beautiful"
Tesni "warmth from the sun"
Eira-pronounced AY-ra; means "snow"
Orla/Orlaith/Orfhlaith-all three pronounced Or-la, means "golden princess"
Rawiya "story-teller"
Malaika-pronounced muh-LAY-kah, means "angels"
Zubaida "marigold"
Sunniva "a gift of the sun"
Hala "halo around the moon"
Rana "beautiful object which catches the eye"
Zuleika "brilliant beauty"
Nazli "delicate, beautiful"

Nayeli is very pretty and feminine - I like it. Safiyyah I'm not a big fan of - I don't like the sound of it very much, and and I don't really like the two 'y's. I do like the nn "fee" though - I know two Safiyas and they both go by "fee", though I call one Saffy so I know who I'm talking to online lol

I do like them very much. How are they pronounced?

Safiyyah I heard pronounced as SAH-fee-yah. I was said quickly so that the last two syllables ran together. Nayeli I have never heard pronounced. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I've been saying nye-EL-ee.
