Halo
What do you think of Halo for a girl? I kind of like it. Too close to Hayley? Too unusual? Usable?

btw, I posted that question before. I love it, but wouldn't use it in real life.

The gameThat is all I can think of. To be honest, any guy that is into games or has friends into games would probably think the same thing as well. I don't think it is a great name. Besides the name reference it makes me think that you are naming your child after something that is obviously a "topper" to an angel. It seems a bit too intense.

the videogame is my first thought too - and Battlestar Galactica...I swear this exact same post was posted just last week... anyway. I think mainly of the game, but disregarding that, I find Halo presumptuous - I feel the same way about similar names like Angel and Heavenly, and I agree with LMS about it perhaps being too intense.Plus, I prefer it on a boy than a girl, and I much prefer Helo (as in Battlestar Galactica's Karl "Helo" Agathon) over that.

Ditto BSG, I'm a geek!

I don't know. I just think of the video game and the thing that angels wear which is kind of like naming a kid after violence or a fancy hat. I really don't like it.

I think it would confuse a lot of people. When I first saw the topic, I thought it was a greeting, like Hullo. I generally don't like girl's name that end in "o," but I think, given names like Trinity and Nevaeh, it would be acceptable, although as a woman she'd never be taken seriously.

I like it but for a boy only.

I think it's cute. What does it mean?
