Tanner for a girl?
I don't really know why, but I've always loved Tanner on a girl. WDYT?

I think, if people were familiar with the occupation of tanner and what it entailed, they wouldn't be so quick to give the name to their children, male OR female. A tanner soaked animal hides in dung and dirty, muddy water for HOURS. It was a smelly, horrible job.
I hate it on either, honestly
I like it
No.
I don't consider Tanner to be an androgynous name. I would not use it for a girl (or a boy).

I only like it for a boy
Eww
Tanner is bad enough on a boy. It's completely unfeminine. A tanner is "one who tans hides" not a little girl's name.

Completely agree.
okay, so I'm biased...
My cousin is named Montana, but we call her Tana or Tanner. She's 13 (or I think about there lol), so I've had time to get used to the name and nn... and I like it!
But then she fits the name - she's a country girl and very tom-boyish. That's the sort of girl I imagine with a name like Tanner.

I think it's cute. Will she have a middle name?
Yea I just have to think of one. Since the first name is generally a masculine name I was thinking that she should have a very feminine middle name.
