Elmo
I just thought you guys might want to know what I named my new baby parrot. Well he's not that new (we got him in summer) but I never posted his name.I named him Elmo. What do you think?Do you think it could also work on a real person? We're getting our second parrot soon, by the way :) In about 3 months :)

I like Elmo as a name and I really wouldn't mind it on a person. I have a parrot too, so I have to ask, what kind is Elmo? I have a male Solomon Island Eclectus.

I have a sweet-as-can-be all-black cat called Elmo.
He was a terrified traumatised stray biggish kitten living rough on Elm Road, so that's name suggested itself.
He's adorable, now 6 years old, and follows me around as if he's a puppy; I think he gets separation anxiety because I rescued him.

IMO, Elmo is completely off-limits for humans (I would never name my child after a red, furry puppet....as cute as he is). For pets...it's adorable!

Good parrot name!but I don't think, for a person. Of course, it once *was* a person's name. But now, too Elmo doll, too Sesame Street.

Aww that's awesome. I wish I had a parrot. Great name too... I love it, and I'd love to, but I don't think it's usuable on a person. It's so cute!

I think that it's good for a parrot. Is he the kind that talks? This is the kind of name that I can imagine a bird saying. He'd even sound cute doing it.

Yes, he says "Elmo" all the time :)

No! Not on a person!
It's fine on a parrot, but children's television has made it unusable on a human.
