I like it a lot. My friend's daughter is Amabel Faith and she gets called Mamie and one of my Aunts has a daughter named Amabel who goes by Bel.
I really love the meaning and it is unusual without being too weird. The only real problem is that it will be confused with Annabel a lot but I would prefer to be named quirky Amabel than boring Annabel (this is coming from an Elise who always gets called Elsie).
