Agatha, Agnes and Edith
Ive noticed alot of people are liking the names Agatha, Agnes and Edith. They sound like really old old names from like the late 1800s or something. You think theyll comeback? Have you yet to see one of these names on a real baby girl today?

I think Edith has the biggest chance of coming back- The nn Edie is so spunky. I could see Agnes and Agatha having some use but I don't think they will make a huge comeback. I haven't see any of these on a child. I did meet a little Esther the other day though- very sweet.

I'd love all of them and would love to see any of them on a baby, but haven't yet. I think Agatha and Edith would come back before Agnes. That one might seem a little too old ladyish for a lot of people. When my mom found out I liked that name, she begged me never to name my daughter that. I didn't plan on it, but apparently she thinks it's terrible. *shrug* Aggie and Edie are definitely cute nicknames though, which I think is what will make them most appealing.

I've heard of a baby Edith, not the others. It seems likely they'll make a comeback at some point, like Emma and Ella did.

I haven't come across any baby girls with these names, but I do take a bit of a liking to Agnes.

I love Agatha and Edith. Both are on my list. Agnes is cool. I've never fallen for her but I appericate her and would love to see her used.

I like Edith, really like Agatha and I adore Agnes. I'm not sure if they'll come back or not...they're very handsome names though. They're not the cutesy names that are extremely popular, but they might be some common yuppie names--all I know is that somehow, whether as a first name or a middle name, I'm going to use Agnes. I've seen Agatha and Agnes on young girls, and I think I've seen Edith in some BAs. But I haven't actually seen these on a baby girl today.

Agnes was the name of a cool teenager on Gossip Girl- and of a popular model/London "It" Girl - so it might get a pass.Edith might become popular thanks to the resurrection of Edie Sedgwick (and her style) in fashion. Or not. Probably just "Edie". =)Can't say for Agatha.I like all of these names, but I doubt they'll make a huge comeback. Ever.

I think out of the three, Edith is most likely to make a comeback. The other two both have strong associations with images of old women, while Edith hasn't been affected by that. Also, "Edie" is a common nickname for Edith, and that isn't old-fashioned at all.For Agatha and Agnes... I don't think they'll come back. I have seen a baby Agatha recently, though.

I haven't heard of them on a real child, but I don't run into many of them anyway.Agatha (Aggie) was the name of the youngest child in "Nanny McPhee." So I hope it's coming back. :-)

Agatha I could see making a comeback, especially among upper class parents and/or yuppies.
Agnes is tougher. I love it but the old-lady image really seems to cling to it. The only Agnes I've seen is in a BA from Canada.
I don't think Edith has ever really faded. It's always hovered in the Top 1000. I don't see it ever becoming really popular, but it could rise up into the 200s.
