WDYT of Piper ...

Not such a huge fan of Piper (reminds me of Charmed too much), but I really like Ruth.

I love Piper. But since it's quite no-frills and spunky sounding, I'd prefer it with a girlier middle name than Ruth.
Piper Juliana is one of my favourites. I know Ruth is a family name for you though :-)

Love it, but has a big but.. (m) (13+)
In Dutch, a Piper (spelled "pijper", pronounced the same) means "someone who gives a blow job"..not something you want to be remind of right?

Are you Dutch and can verify this? I posted about
this on another name board and this was the response I got:
the word is pijpeN not pijper. Please check your facts before spreading falsehoods. Info found at The Alternative Dutch Dictionary site.

oh please let me explain before you jump to conclusions!!
For your information, i am Dutch
PijpeN is a verb, "i (ik) pijp, you (jij) pijpt, he (hij) pijpt, we (wij) pijpen". Now a person who "pijps" (blow job) is called a pijpeR (pronounced as Piper). Same goes with a lot of verbs, such as bakkeR (someone who bakes), slageR (a butcher, someone who butch), loodgieter (plumber, someone who plumbs (sp.?), etc etc etc.
As you might understand, in Dutch, 'someone who verb', ends in R, not N (the verb mostly ends in N)
Hope you learned something!
Edited To Add; i know i probably sound nasty in this message, but if you would've pressed the button that says "indigo", you would've seen i'm Dutch and you wouldn't have questioned me in the first place. So please check profiles in the future

If I had jumped to conclusions, I would have said you were
wrong :) I wasn't jumping to any conclusions; hence, the question. I know this is an international community and I was hoping you were Dutch :)
Someone on another name board said I was ridiculous for posting your comment and said that they had gone to the alternative Dutch dictionary site to prove it.
I will now let them know what you said here.

Yikes, I knew it meant Pepper in a few languages, but I didn't know that one. Thanks for pointing it out.
