Chance
What do you think of Chance? Would you use it on a boy or a girl? Do you think it would make an interesting middle name or is it boring like Grace?Noelle Victoria, Kaia Estella, Elsa Cheyenne and Cecilia Chance?

I have a student in school with this name. He really doesn't like it when other kids tease him about it: "Cloudy with a CHANCE of rain!" etc.
I don't think the sound of it is bad, but I'm not sure I understand how the meaning of this word would make a suitable or desirable name.
Honestly, it makes me think of people who decide not to use birth control one day and "take their chances"!

It's sweet, but I do think of Homeward BoundI like it on a boy, and I would consider it if I could be assured that my father wouldn't call him Chauncey. I think that right now it could be a good middle name, but it does have the potential to become a trendy filler.

I don't much care for Chance or the sentiment behind it. I used to attend church with a family of seven children. The parents were a bit unusual. All of the births were home births and the parents didn't even discuss names until the children were born. The kids were:Sabrina -- I love this one.
Jenny Marie
Jacob
Matthew
Chancey Paige -- This is the one I like least.
Amy O'Neal
Mary Ellen -- I don't like using Mary and Marie in the same sibset. As you can see, the style is very different among the kids. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that Chance can be feminized. ;-)

It's my cousin's nameWell, second cousin. Actually I have two second cousins named Chance on two different sides of the family. I don't really like it. It's too much of a random word. Like Chase. Definitely a boy's name though. I think it would be terrible on a girl, and I've never heard of it on a girl either.

Chance is a nice enough name, although it is personally not my style. I know of a boy named Chance and a girl named Chanse.

Homeward Bound is what I think ofWhen I was a kid, I grew up on these movies, the Homeward Bound series. It was about these three animals, two dogs and a cat, Shadow, Chance, and Sassy, who would somehow end up away from their humans and have to go on this adventure to get home. Chance was a male dog, and he was really dumb. Shadow was always like >:( at him. And he was voiced by Michael J. Fox :PSo I can't imagine this much on a person.
