Cathy?
What do you think of Cathy or Kathy as a whole name by itself not a nn for Katherine or anything for a little girl today. Is it dated or what?

Teeny bit dated...
But that's not such a bad thing. I think it's sweet, but I know I would myself prefer Catharine, as I think the name is so pretty written down, but I'd call myself Cathy.

Dated, and I don't really like the idea of a NN as a full name.
And, as odd as it may seem, I'd prefer Cath / Kath. No y.

Very dated. I went to high school with two girls nicknamed Cathy and Kathie and it seems weird even on people my age, let alone a little girl. I don't like Cathy or Kathy as a whole name or nickname, but I'd prefer to see it as a nn becuase at least they'd have Catherine, Katherine, or Kathleen to fall back on.
It's dated as a nn. As a given name it's just awful.
As a nickname, it's fine. I prefer just Catherine, though, personally.
