I love it, but it really is unbelievably popular in Scotland and I don't think that's about to change unfortunately!

I think it's pretty. I like how it sounds, but mostly I love how it looks. "Isl" is very nice together, and I like names that end in -a. Plus it makes me think of misty Scottish islands, which is a nice picture.

I would really love it if it was pronounced EES-la, but as EYE-la, not so much. And I don't like to change the formal pronunciation of a name for my own reasons, I just won't use it.

Isla is beautiful and in the U.S., relatively rare (although I hear it's disgustingly popular in the U.K.). I much prefer it to Isabel. Let me know if you'd like some combos; I'm happy to write some out!

I think it's a lovely name, although it is becoming popular here in the UK. If it weren't popular it'd probably be on my list.
