Goess
Sorry for two posts so close - last one today, promise!
My mom's maiden name is Goess. If I would ever use a family name, I'd use this to honor my mom's entire family (for good reason).
Anywho: pn is similar to Grace, but more of a "gay" sound - so gayce.
Would you use it as a girl's middle name or boys? Which of my names do you think it fits best with?
Roderick
Alaric
Ambrose
Emeric
Lazarus
Esmond
Isidor
Isidora
Evren
Liora

I have to first admit that when I quickly scanned the new threads on the board, I thought "Goess" said "Gross", eep!
I think that honouring names can fit in the mn slot on either boys or girls. And the pronunciation is pleasing enough that it flows nicely.
Pairing it with your faves, I personally like:
Isidor Goess
Esmond Goess
Isidora Goess
Liora Goess

With that pron, I would definitely use it as a girls middle name. Liora Goess would be nice.
I'd use it as a boys' mn, simply because it is a surname and they almost always work better on boys, imo.
