I don't like the name Leah. Lea in my opinion is a slightly better spelling. I always use the pronunciation Lee-ah but that's because I live in England. I think Leh-a is a nicer pronunciation.
Overall, I prefer the spelling Lia but I prefer the pronunciation Leh-a therefore the spelling would have to be Lea.
Liat is not something I would use but I don't hate it. I see what you mean about the meaning of Liat being a bit weird. When In saw what the meaning was I first thought what's wrong with that? Now that I've thought about it it does seem a little weird and I can't quite decide if it's a good meaning or not.
