Re: Maria

I really, really hate it. I have trouble explaining why I hate it, but I'll try: It sounds very ugly and harsh to me (mah-REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-uh), and is very overused. Also, it seems extremely Spanish to me, and would seem out of place on a non-Spanish child. Sorry!

LOL, I'm as non-spanish as they come. I have fair skin, red hair and freckles, and could never be described as Mediterranean. ;-)
- Maria
Maria is very popular in Sweden
Maria is an international name, really not especially Spanish.
"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

Yep, I know...(m)
But I've known SO many Spanish Marias that it's permanently stuck there.
