Danielle
I recently met a very young girl named Danielle. She was only 3 or 4 years old. I was really surprised to see it on a young girl as it is very 70s dated to me. What do you think? Is it ready for a comeback? Do you know many girls named Danielle? Any young ones?

I agree with what a person said earlier. Danielle doesnt need a comeback yet because it is one of those names in my generation (late 80s/early 90s) with names like Stacy, Jessica, Tiffany and Amber. They arent as popular as the Madisons and Avas and Sophias now a days but you see them every once in a while.

I am in high school and I know 4 people that go to my school named Danielle, also one named Danyel (pronounced the same). Pretty much all the Danielles I know are teenagers. Thay all go by Dani, or just Danielle.

I know a lot of Danielles, mostly my age which is twelve.
:)
I don't see a comeback, I haven't met any very young Danielles.

That little girl will grow up! I used to know a girl coming up to her teens and she was called Danielle. I don't really like the name because you would get called Dan or Elle for short, but it is rather nice.

I've always thought Danielle was a pretty name. I think Dani is a cute nickname, or Nell, Nellie, Elle, or Ellie.I haven't heard it on any young girls, but I know several my age: my cousin's name is Danielle (she goes by Dani), in high school I was friends with one who went by Elle, and in college I was friends with two who both just went by Danielle. I also know a Dannie, but I'm pretty sure that's her name and it's not a nickname.

I've met at least two girls named Danielle in my life. One was my age and one was a year old. Danielle is an alright name but I do not think it's time for a comeback.

Danielle was a popular name when I was growing up (80s'/90's). There were about three or four girls with this name in the school I went to.

I don't think Danielle is due for a "comback" just yet, because I think it's still in the tail-end of its popularity reign. Danielle is very much a name of my generation (babies of the mid 80's) so I think it's slowly petering out, but it's not quite "done" yet - like Nicole, Jennifer, Michelle, Christine/a, Sarah, and Jessica still keep popping up now and then. It seems more rare because the Danielles of the world are busy having their own babies and naming them things like Madison, Ava and Emma.
