Elizabeth....Nicknames and Thoughts.

I adore Elsa and Elsie as nns for Elizabeth. They are not most people's cup of tea. But I find them darling.
Other than that, I like:
Lee, Lilibet, Bess, Bessie, Betsy, Lisette and Libby
Have you ever read / seen "Cousin Bette?" It's a deliciously catty / gossipy novel by Balzac. The main character, Bette, is not very nice. But the whole atmosphere of the book and Parisian society made me warm to the name.

I've hated Elizabeth long enough. Now I like it, but only if you don't use a nn.
I love Elizabeth. I've always thought it was pretty, but for some reason it took me until recently to realize that I could use it to honor me! (My mn is a form of Elizabeth).
My favorite nicknames are Libby, Ellie, and Lily. I also like Eliza.
Betty and Buffy are probably the only ones that I really dislike.

There's always Bessie or Bess but I never like those much.
I love Elizabeth, but I don't like Liz at all. I don't mind Lizzy now after reading/watching Pride and Prejudice enough times, and Eliza is sort of growing on me (but not really.) I like Beth, or but you could always jut call her Elizabeth like my friend is just called.
