Emma-line or Emma- leen?

When you say it sounds like how it looks, what does that mean to you?

I pronounce Emmeline and Emmaline exactly the same way, "Emma-line". I do prefer the Emmeline spelling, but think that the other version is also fine. It doesn't look terrible at all.

I love Emmeline (pronounced em-uh-LEEN), not such a fan of Emmaline, although it's acceptable. I don't like em-uh-LINE at all really.

I love Emeline and Emmeline (strictly these spellings).

I like it okay but I actually prefer the pron. of Emma-LEEN. Surprisingly, I did meet a little Emmaline (Emma-LINE) last year-she was two. And another friend told me that they almost named their daughter (who is now three) Emmaline (Emma-LINE also) but chose Violet in the end. It's a nice enough name.

Yes, I like Emmaline, which I pronounce to rhyme with wine. I prefer it spelled with the A, just as you have it. It looks much less severe than with all those E's in Emmeline. I just really do NOT like that.

I' sorry, but I find it boring and plain... so I despise of it. This spelling's ok. I have always pronounced it em-mah-line.

I like it, but I prefer it spelled, Emmeline or Emeline.
