Ofer makes me think of the word "offer". Also the German word Opfer, which means "victim".
I really like Ophrah, though. Sad it has that TV-connection. Fr-names have always been my weak place.
Amos was a long time on my PNL, but then I got tired of it. Still it feels like a very elegant, nicely eccentric name. Also very thin, maybe because I've known an Aamos who's extremely slim and tall. :) In your position I'd just wait and let the time show, do you truly like it.
