Kiril
I think it's pronounced Keer-ull. WDTY? I'm thinking about naming a character this in a story... what attributes do you think a person named Kiril would have?

I like Kiril, but with the Russian pronunciation like others have already posted. It's my wicked Russian step-grandmother's nephew's name, so I always think of him. I never met him because he still lives in Russia, but I did write to him. He struck me as rather quiet and was into music, chess, and tennis . He had dark hair and dark eyes. My only other association with the name was a canary in a novel. :-D
I really like it, but I wouldn't use it on an actual boy in an english speaking country. I love it anyway though!!
I pronounce it kee-REEL, with kind of a rolled R. I'm not sure about that pronunciation. When I hear it though, I think of a mysterious Russian assassin or something. Maybe because of that guy from that one movie. :P
I dislike that pronunciation, I prefer kee-REEL with a rolled R. With my pronunciation I find it handsome, yours is just okay (I'm attached to mine cos I take Russian). I would expect them to be tall, and strong spirited but with some element of sadness in everything they do, and they wouldn't necessarily always be the good guy, probably a fairly morally ambiguous character.
I really like your descriptions! and your pronounciation is good too. I think I'll work this into my story =)
It's very pretty, but Kirilya or Kirilia, or maybe Kirila.
I think she would be small with dark hair.
