twin girls
OK, they're strange, but I love Isis & Azalea. I'm trying to replace them with something a little more common (or at least move them to middle names). My son is Oliver Samuel. I tried Hazel out today on the public. Unanimously despised (too "old-fashioned" & "frumpy"). Sounds elegant to me, but they tell me I don't watch enough TV. I love vowels, v's & z's. I appreciate Spanish names. I'd prefer a name that is easily recognized & has a standard spelling. Thanks, Gina

They look too much on TV!Don't listen to the public, they probably just like the most popular or trendy names. Don't let TV influence what YOU want to name your children.Isis and Azalea are beautiful. I'd also like Iris and Azalea. Or Linnea (twinflower). Linnéa and Viola are names I would like to name twin girls, if I had any. Maybe Linnea and Violet in USA.Some Spanish names I like: Alcina, Alma, Anarosa, Araceli, Azucena, Beatriz, Celina, Corazon, Eliana, Elida, Felicia, Inez, Isabel, Jacinta, Leonor, Lucina, Luzia, Maribel, Maricruz, Marisol, Marina, Mireya, Paloma, Reina, Rosabel, Roxana, Sarita, Yesenia, Zara, Zarita, Zulema"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

I would go for isis and Azalea. I don't think they are that unusual . i live in Brighton, England and i know 2 Isis and neither have ever had any trouble. I think they also go nicely with Oliver. They are beautiful and something unusual (but not made up) is a good thing.
Similar sounding (to my ear any way) are
Ivy
Iris
Iona
Isla
Anthea
Althea
Astrid (really like this - nearly used it myself)
YazminDon't like Hazel though sorryy. Also despite disliking the name for what it is it seems a bit trendy just now especially aftre Julia Roberts used it

I love the name Hazel...it's just always been one of those names I like. And all the people that I know loves it as well. I'm sorry but I don't like Isis or Azalea.

Don't listen to the publicDon't listen to them. A name like Hazel has a nice classic and pretty ring to it. This is the same public that onced liked names such as Tiffany, Ethel, and Mildred. Hazel sounds far more classier in my opinion than mainstream names like Madison, Ashley, or Kayla. I say stick to Hazel, don't let their opinion deter you. Names like the ones I mentioned above will probably get worse as time goes by. Hazel is timeless and there's a chance of revival for it. I think Hazel & Azalea would make a good sibset. I'm not fond of Isis.
