Growing up, I had a friend whose mother was named Beverly. She went by Bev. I also knew another Beverly who also went by Bev. Both are older than 40. I don't think I've met any Beverlys younger than 40 or so, but I'd really like to meet a little Beverly. I think it's a nice name.
