Aidan?
I always rather liked Aidan. But I feel it has been ruined by the -aden trend, including Brayden, Caden, Jayden, Hayden etc. I also think the misspelling Aiden which is now more common than the original has ruined it somewhat. What do you think? Is it still usable? Or does it need a rest? How many Aidans do you know? How do they spell it? How many Braydens, Cadens, Jaydens and Haydens (and alternate spellings) do you know?Do you prefer Aidan or another -aden name? spelling?Aidan or Aiden or .....?Oh and some celeb named his daughter Aidan Rose. While I prefer it on a boy, I thought it could also work on a girl. WDYT? do you know any female Aidans, Aidens, Aidyns etc?

I used to really like this name until it became trendy and then the bastardized spellings, and gender mixing happened. When these trends occur, the name is always ruined for me, at least for a while. But if the name ever gets a rest - which I don't see happening for another 10 years - then I will most likely grow to like it again.

I really don't know any Aidans personally, but I do remember I had a teacher that named her son this back in 1999 or 2000. I thought it was cool back then but know I think it needs to take a rest.

I love Aidan. Spelling variations usually bother me, but not so much with this name. I only know one Aidan, spelled just like that. He is four. I know half a dozen Braydens all under the age of 7, spelled Braedan (x2), Braydyn (x1), and Brayden (x3). I know one male Jayden (age 5) and one female Jaidyn (age 4).Aidan is by far my favorite of the -aden names.

I really like Aidan...and Brayden/Braden and Jayden/Jaden. I don't really have a preference on the spelling. I don't really know too many people with those names. I know like one Aidan and one Hayden.

It's not a bad name, but it's just way too overdone now, mainly due to the -aden trend. I do know one Aiden (g) who has a twin brother named Brayden. I also know a Braedon, Kaden, Cayden, Hayden (g), Dayton (I know it's no the same, but very similar), and so on. I really dislike Aidan / Aiden on a girl, I find it to be very masculine and I don't like boys names on girls. The whole -aden trend is annoying to me now. It seems like everyone I know that has a baby names the baby Aidan / Aiden, Braden / Brayden, Jadon / Jayden, Caden / Kaden, Hayden, Peyton / Payton, etc.

I quite like Aidan or at least the sound of it. I have Áedán (old Celtic spelling) on my PNL. I've also had Caden on my list. I used to like it a lot but now I've seen/heard it so much I think it's very boring. I don't like the sound of it any more.
I definitely think Aidan/Aiden etc needs a rest, it is very overused at the moment.
I can't stand Brayden or Jayden. I hate the sound of them and I don't like the look of them (no matter the spelling)

It's one of my friend's favorite names and I like it also but not as much. Still I think it needs a rest. I don't know any Aidans but that's because they are mostly little kids. I've heard people at my summer job call their sons who are named Aidan though. I know one Hayden and he's my cousin. He's 14 and will soon be fifteen. I've met one Jayden and one Jadon. Jayden was a boy and would probably be eight or nine now. Jadon is a girl and she's five. My favorite spelling is Aidan but Aiden is alright also. It shouldn't be used on a girl, but I like it better on a girl than I like Riley on one

I love Aidan. It's one of my favourites, but I'm worried too about it's popularity. I'm not sure I'd use it anymore. I don't like Aidan on a girl. I think boys' names should be on boys and girls' names on girls. I don't like to wonder everytime I hear a name wether it's a boy or a girl.Lea

I think it's usable and I don't care about the -aden trend since I like Jayden, Kaden, Aidan and Aiden. I don't know any Aidan's. And no Kaden, Brayden, Hayden etc either. I HATE Aidan on a girl, doesn't matter how you spell it. For a boy I would go with Aidan, Aiden, Kaden, Zayden och Jayden. Trendy? Yes. But I still like them.
